Job Title : Library Assistant - Fresno County Public Library

The Fresno County Public Library invites applications for the position of Library Assistant . Incumbents provide assistance in the use of library materials and programs to the public, support professional librarians, may be responsible for a community library, and perform related work as required.

Please note : The current vacancies are part-time and may be limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week . The eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill both full and part-time positions as vacancies occur. Working hours will vary between 8 : 00 a.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. Applicants must be willing to work various shifts including evenings and weekends (including Sundays), and to travel between sites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Experience : One (1) year of full-time, paid public contact work experience involving clerical duties.
• OR
• Education : Completion of thirty (30) semester units of coursework acceptable within the U.S. accredited college or university system.

Licenses : Possession of a valid Class
