Authorization Specialist / Case Manager

Job Title : Authorization Specialist / Case Manager

Location : Washington, DC

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM-4 : 30 PM (flexible start time available)

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as a liaison between patients, insurance companies, and clinical staff.
• Manage and follow up on insurance authorizations, including complex cases with multiple procedures.
• Support patients on the small bowel transplant waitlist, including out-of-state Medicaid cases.
• Advocate for patients by communicating with hospitals, providers, and payers.
• Provide financial counseling to patients, explaining insurance decisions and available options.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary transplant team and administrative staff.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
