Civil Structural Engineer

Civil / Structural Engineer - Shelton, CT - JOB 25-01572 Salary Range : $85K - $125K + Incentive Bonus Permanent Position with Benefits. A consulting firm is seeking to hire a Civil / Structural Engineer P.E. to perform investigations from scaffolding collapse accidents as well as problems caused by weather damage including foundation construction. Must be able to provide comprehensive, disciplined engineering experience and perform in-depth forensic investigations such as construction structural defects, roadway design, worker safety issues, deficiencies, code compliance, quality assurance issues, and more. REQUIREMENTSB.S. and or M.S. in Civil Engineering Advanced educational degrees such as a Ph.D. are a plus Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is a plus. At least 5 years of Civil / Structural Engineering experience. Must have a desire for forensics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as it pertains to field investigation, writing investigation reports, attending depositions for legal trial cases and being a witness. Able to become certified in specific fields such as aerial work platforms, foundations, exterior insulation, and finish systems (EIFS) to provide expertise from several different angles. Willing to occasionally travel. Some overnight travel to investigate accidents. Must be a detailed oriented person.
