Job Description
In this role, you will :
- Design and implement control systems for new and existing in-house automation equipment
- Develop electrical schematics, specify components, and integrate machine-to-network communication
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo controls, vision systems (Cognex), and robotics (6-Axis and SCARA)
- Lead or support automation projects from concept through deployment, balancing short-term support with long-term improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize performance
- Provide hands-on support for control systems including VFDs, pneumatics, sensors, and motion controllers
- Create documentation including BOMs, user manuals, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
- Maintain compliance with electrical safety and industry standards (NFPA, OSHA)
- Contribute to capital equipment projects and research emerging technologies in automation and vision systems
