About The Position

Position Description

A well-established cancer care center in Albany, NY is seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist / Oncologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage . This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care with a balanced caseload of hematology and oncology patients. Flexible scheduling options available, with long-term potential.

  • Start Date : As soon as credentialed (approx. 30 days)
  • Schedule Options :
  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
  • Monday–Friday with rotating weekend coverage
  • Patient Population : 100% Adult
  • Case Mix : 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology
  • Practice Setting : Community hospital (inpatient + outpatient)
  • EMR : Epic
  • Support Staff :
  • 3 Oncologists
  • 5 Full-time APPs
  • 4 Full-time Radiation Oncologists

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Board Certification in Hematology / Oncology or Medical Oncology – Required
  • Active New York Medical License – Required
  • ACLS Certification – Required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent oncology practice preferred
  • Strong familiarity with Epic EMR – Preferred
