Who we are looking for :

We are currently looking for a Quality Manufacturing Manager to be based out of Harvey, Illinois. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Quality Department for the Harvey area Manufacturing and Shipping operations. Included, this position will support plant level process improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, science or equivalent along with a minimum of 5-7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you'll do :

• Develop and lead the Quality department to meet the demands of customer driven quality improvements.
• Coordinates with the Value Stream Manager to develop and conduct training on quality standards, measurement devices, quality alerts, procedure changes, etc.
• Performs periodic internal audits of the Quality System to ensure that it is effectively established and maintained in compliance with ISO 9001 : 2015.
• Create assessment-based qualifications for both the incoming Quality Assurance Technicians and manage this by means of a Skills Matrix.
• Manage relationships and product compliance issues with customers and agencies (UL, CSA, etc.)
• Performs and documents customer complaint root cause investigations, product relation, and component rejections, while improving customer satisfaction by focusing on reducing or preventing customer complaints.
• Ensure effective manufacturing process control programs that maintain focus on Built in Quality and prevention of internal rejects.
