About the Role

The Open Innovation team is a future-forward innovation ecosystem for CHANEL. The role of our team is to help the House test emerging luxury verticals, business models and technologies outside of the business today.

Our Open Innovation team is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Innovation to drive our team's exploration of the future of luxury through strategic experimentation and data-driven insights.

This role will oversee our team's innovation pipeline and learnings, playing a crucial part in shaping our strategic direction through data-driven insights.

What Impact You Can Create at CHANEL

Learnings Pipeline :

  • Leads the management of the team's learnings pipeline, overseeing the methodology governing new projects and experiments
  • Works closely with stakeholders to align experiments with key strategic objectives
  • Collaborates on experience design to make sure setup and execution supports experiment goals
  • Acts as "data owner" for all experiments, overseeing necessary analytics infrastructure setup and supporting analysis of experiment results
  • Synthesizes experiment results into sharable report formats, with strong emphasis on storytelling
  • Drives all experiments related to client and employee analytics and insights
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance the team's innovation capabilities and measurement approach

Analytics & Insights :

  • Collaborates on creation of client and employee experience journeys, mapping data implications of different touchpoints for measurement goals
  • Sets up and maintains analytics reporting systems for the team, ensuring regular reporting meets business objectives
  • Oversees necessary analytics infrastructure setup required to report on experiment analysis
  • Responsible for execution of regular reporting to team & senior management on KPIs
  • Strategy Assistance :

  • Collaborates cross-functionally with team to manage strategic pipelines & reporting, ensuring seamless integration of experimental insights into broader strategic planning
  • Assists in general strategy work required for the team's initiatives, leveraging strong strategic skills and a broad business understanding to contribute to overall direction
  • Sourcing, scoping and management of third-party analytics vendors when supplemental data is needed for learnings
  • Manages coordination with external agencies tasked with strategic projects, including oversight of all key deliverables
  • Supports portfolio planning across multiple Open Innovation initiatives

  • Position Logistics :

  • Work Experience : 3+ years in a strategic role, with exposure to business intelligence, consulting, or business strategy
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Hybrid role based in NYC office and requires regular in-person presence
  • Compensation :

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 to $121,300. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay may be offered for this position. Other components may include bonus potential, benefits, and / or perks.
