job_description.job_card.job_descriptionRepresent CVS and partner brands while upholding high standards of service. CVS Licensed Beauty Sales Consultants are required to provide ear-piercing services in all stores and perform other applicable services where offered. Must pass assessments of proficiency before performing services in-store. Educate customers by demonstrating proper product usage and highlighting product features to drive purchase conversion. Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services and walk-ins. Display current Cosmetology / Esthetician license during working hours as mandated by state. Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials in support of brand, corporate and local advertising efforts. Participate in and represent CVS at sales programs and events. Maintain a clean, well-stocked and compliant work area to ensure a positive shopping and service experience. Ensure sanitation and hazardous waste policies are followed. Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service training to stay current. Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company policies. Exposure to the latest products through brand interaction and training. Gratis : access to free samples. Opportunity to be invited to the annual beauty tradeshow based on performance. Contribute to helping people on their path to better health and wellbeing through beauty services and products. Current and valid Cosmetology / Esthetician License in the state of work. Active license maintained during employment and displayed as required by state law. Willingness to perform ear-piercing services and other store services as offered. Ability to pass required skills assessments and training courses for paid services. Ability to use sales data with product knowledge to meet sales and service goals. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Goal-driven with multi-tasking ability; able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Available to work at a CVS store and travel to events as needed. Flexible retail schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours and peak hours. Nevada applicants : must provide MAKEUP ARTIST REGISTRATION / THREADER REGISTRATION from the state of Nevada. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) in specific stores where required. Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior beauty sales experience with a strong passion for beauty. Stand for extended periods and move throughout the store to assist customers and perform services. Stooping, kneeling or crouching; reaching or grasping objects. The Beauty division is expanding as part of CVS Health's retail pharmacy leadership. We are seeking a talented, sales-oriented, Licensed Beauty Sales Consultant who is passionate about the beauty industry and believes the customer experience should be top-notch. You will be involved in in-store beauty services and personalized product advice, contributing to the end-to-end customer experience in Beauty & Personal Care.
Responsibilities
- Seek out customers to ensure they have a world-class beauty advisor experience.
- Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, upsell and suggestive sell.
- Use verbal communication to engage customers and drive sales.
- Answer customer questions with product knowledge to maximize the sales basket.
- Engage customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs and current promotions to close sales of products and services.
