PACU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Hampshire or compact state

Minimum 1 year of PACU or acute care nursing experience

Strong clinical skills in pre-op and post-op recovery care

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)

Monitor and assess patients during phase one recovery (1 : 2 nurse-to-patient ratio)

Provide clinical support for surgical specialties : gynecology, orthopedics, plastics, vascular, cardiology, and general surgery

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe patient transitions
