Location : Rochester, NY; Remote candidates able to travel to and work from Rochester for a minimum of one week every month will be considered

The objective of the role : As our Director of Professional Services Engineering, you'll shape and scale a dynamic team that delivers industry-leading cloud and AI solutions to our business clients. We're looking for a proven technical leader who thrives on mentoring talented engineers and architects. You'll be the driving force behind process innovation—spotting inefficiencies, eliminating bottlenecks, and pioneering changes that transform how we operate. Responsibilities

• Lead and scale engineering teams in mid-size, high-growth technology environments
• Oversee staff with billable-hour expectations in professional services or managed cloud infrastructure
• Assess effort, complexity, and resource requirements for cloud migrations, modernization, ML / AI implementations, and other enterprise projects
• Make quick, clear decisions and own them
• Foster learning, adaptability, and innovative approaches
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
• Operate transparently and set clear expectations to enable safe experimentation
• Navigate conflicts among different technology choices
• Drive entrepreneurial energy and transform engineering function into a scalable organization capable of handling multiple client projects with quality and efficiency
