The Manager Quality Assurance oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality assurance systems and processes in compliance with aerospace industry standards Provides quality system oversight to ensure quality systems remain operational. The manager provides periodic assessments of quality system to the line / Plant Managers and to the Director of Quality Assurance. This position develops quality objectives and Manages quality related continuous improvement activities throughout the facility. This role will liaise with Supplier Quality and Engineering teams to ensure standards are maintained. The manager sets standards for inspection teams to ensure proper oversight and process control is maintained throughout the production activities.
Schedule : Weekend Shift - Thursday - Sunday; 6 : 00am - 4 : 30pm (Weekend shift has a 12% shift differential added on top of the Base Salary)
Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Develops, implements, and maintains QMS in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA / EASA regulations, and customer-specific requirements as applicable.
- Addresses customer quality concerns and lead efforts to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Monitors production activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures and regulatory standards.
- Oversees inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and final products to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Responsible for coordinating responses for non-compliances identified within the QMS and Manages the facilities internal corrective action responses.
- Manages and conducts internal audits and oversees external audits by regulatory agencies and customers.
- Ensures proper documentation and maintenance of quality procedures, manuals, and records.
- Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Reports on quality trends, audit findings, and improvement progress to senior management.
- Manages continuous improvement activities impacting the quality system.
- Leads and manages the QA team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develops a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to QA staff and other departments on quality-related issues.
- Utilizes data-driven methods such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing to solve quality issues.
- Promote a proactive approach to risk management and defect prevention.
- Obtain and analyze internal and external customer feedback regarding product quality.
- Oversees the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Training programs.
- Trains and develops the organizations internal auditors.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, quality management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in quality assurance within the aerospace industry, including leadership roles.AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification or FAA Auditor Certification preferred.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent certification is a plus.Experience working in manufacturing, maintenance, or repair environments is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA / EASA regulations, and other aerospace standards.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.Expertise in using quality management software and inspection tools.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).Competencies
