Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT / Xray Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT and BLS certification for a rotating day / night position in an acute care environment.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care setting at a Critical Access Hospital with a busy ER, ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, and OR coverageRotating day / night 10-hour shifts with weekend, holiday, and potential on-call requirements based on staffing needsUnit consists of CT and X-ray modalities, including stroke, trauma, and orthopedic casesProcedures include CTAs, trauma imaging, emergent surgical imaging with C-arm, joint imaging, and radiology injections / biopsies as neededEquipment includes Siemens 128-slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio Xray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC C-arm, and Hologic Mini-CEMR is Epic with PACS by McKesson; experience with these systems is preferredOrientation typically consists of one weekFloating may be required to assist with radiology injections / biopsies and will include training as neededResponsibilities include performing a full range of x-ray and CT imaging studies across multiple patient populationsMust demonstrate strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively with a supportive radiology teamWork environment can be busy due to high ER and clinic volumes and proximity to a major highwayDirector available during weekdays and reachable after hours in emergent situationsRTO must be provided upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submissionCandidates must not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity, within the past year; PRN through outside firms is acceptablePermanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility for considerationRequirements
Minimum 1 year of current x-ray and CT experience requiredActive ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required; ARRT(CT) preferredActive state license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedProficiency operating Siemens and GE imaging equipmentExperience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS systems preferredAbility to perform C-arm procedures in surgery for emergent and trauma casesMust provide a copy of driver’s license for considerationTwo professional references required : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityBenefits
