Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Full Time

As a Security Officer in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will play an important role in supporting a caring atmosphere and upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 06 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM Fri 06 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM Sat 06 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols established for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and / or patients with directions and information while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and / or hazards according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with first responders when appropriate.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
