Position Summary :

The food service manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the school food service kitchen. This includes managing staff, planning, and preparing menus; ensuring food safety and sanitation, handling inventory, ordering supplies and record-keeping are completed. The manager is also responsible for ensuring every meal that is served meets the USDA nutritional standards.

Hours : 6 hours : (7 : 00 am-1 : 00 pm) Pay : $14.00 per hour

Qualifications : The qualified applicant must have a minimum of a high school diploma or grade level equivalent diploma (GED), be able to pass a background check and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

• Maintain a cheery disposition with all children, staff and co-workers.
• Supervise food service employees.
• Complete daily paperwork and bank deposits.
• Order grocery / kitchen supplies.
• Follow recipes and use kitchen scales and measuring utensils to prepare meals.
• Portion and serve food to students and staff.
• Record food and equipment temperatures.
• Maintain inventory.
• Clean and store utensils, trays, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Clean lunchroom,kitchen and equipment after use.
• Maintain high degree of sanitation.
• Obtain Food Production Manager Sanitation Certification.
• Complete probationary and yearly performance.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
• Attend work regularly and promptly.
• Complete required district training.
• Other duties as assigned
