Description :

Candidates must be licensed to practice PT.

The average number of patients treated per day ranges from 8 to 14.

The patient population includes pediatrics to geriatrics.

Common diagnoses include orthopedic, neurological, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, high school injuries, work-related injuries, and sports rehabilitation.

Wound care is part of the scope of practice.

The setting includes outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and swing bed admissions.

Daily documentation is expected without extra time allocated for charting.

Travelers are not required to have experience with specific therapies performed by the permanent staff.

Experience must include the ability to conduct thorough evaluations and complete daily documentation.

Candidates should possess good time management skills and be able to jump into the role effectively.

The team consists of a small group that collaborates to distribute assignments and cover patient needs.

There is one skilled rehabilitation aide available to assist in treatment.

The shift runs from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM from Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch, 30 minutes paid and 30 minutes unpaid.

Weekend and holiday coverage is typically managed by permanent staff.

No color requirement exists for scrubs or casual professional attire.

The charting system in use is Meditech.
