With a reputation for unforgettable dining experiences and iconic neighborhood venues, our established Boston restaurant group is seeking a dynamic Event Sales Manager to drive revenue from private dining and events. This is your chance to sell celebrated spaces, work with passionate hospitality pros, and shape events that keep guests coming back.

Event Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven success in event or private dining sales, ideally within hospitality or restaurant groups
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipelines, generate leads, and close deals
  • Proficiency in CRM and event booking systems (e.g., Tripleseat, OpenTable Events, ResyOS, or similar)
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on event needs
  • Strong understanding of Boston’s restaurant and event market

    • Must Haves :

  • Manage inbound event inquiries from first contact through contract and coordination handoff
  • Proactively identify and pursue new private dining and event business opportunities
  • Collaborate with GMs, chefs, and marketing to create and present tailored event packages
  • Conduct on-site walkthroughs and tastings with clients and vendors
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasts, and booking documentation
  • Represent the brand at local networking events, trade shows, and industry functions
  • Ensure client satisfaction pre- and post-event to encourage repeat business

    • Event Sales Manager Preferred Background & Skills :

  • Existing relationships in the Boston corporate, nonprofit, or social event community
  • Experience working with multiple venues or a restaurant group
  • Familiarity with local event trends, seasonal booking patterns, and industry competitors
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for delivering polished, high-end experiences
  • Knowledge of catering operations, AV, and vendor management is a plus
