Sr. Specialist, HR Business Partner

The SAS HR business partner for Engineering functional discipline teams will provide support for a matrixed, geographically dispersed population across several U.S. sites and international locations. A true strategic partner in driving business results by understanding the client area's strategic plans and initiatives to provide value-added recommendations. They will partner with all levels of leadership from front-line supervisors to executives, as well as the overall employee population. Responsible for understanding and executing on the human capital objectives and needs of the business across multiple HR workstreams including staffing, leader development, compensation planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change leadership, employee engagement, inclusion, and retention.

Essential Functions :

• Build and maintain effective working relations with management and employees to provide advice and counsel to both on employee-related and organizational matters.
• Identify and diagnose issues proactively and develop, recommend, and implement root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement / experience and business results in a timely manner.
• Partner with client groups to build and execute on talent actions to meet overall business strategy, objectives, and goals.
• Analyze data and metrics to support recommendations to the leadership team for continuous improvement.
• Participate in / lead projects across Engineering and HR functions.
• Collaborate with HR Center of Excellence, matrixed HR counterparts, and functions such as Legal, Ethics, Environmental Health & Safety, and Security.
• Participate and / or lead projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function as assigned.
