Job Summary / Description :

FOX19 in Cincinnati has an immediate opening for a Producer / MMJ. This is a hybrid role. This person will serve as a fill-in morning producer for vacations & sicknesses. When not producing, this person will work as an MMJ for our morning news block. As a producer, you will work to create urgent, relevant, impactful newscasts that are memorable. You must be a strong writer with excellent time management skills and attention to detail. As an MMJ, you will research, shoot, and present news stories (with viewer benefit) for our on-air & digital platforms. Engaging LIVESHOTS are a must. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of social media.

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Create high-quality news content (with high viewer impact) for broadcast, digital, streaming, and social media platforms
• As a producer, write clearly, concisely, and conversationally. Work closely with the team to create impactful newscasts.
• As MMJ, develop sources in the community to pitch lead and enterprise stories
• Must have time-management skills as you produce and / or gather video, sound, and graphics for stories. Must be able to work under tight deadlines to turn daily stories.
• Use creative storytelling & showcasing techniques to make stories easy to understand and memorable
• Will be required to work early morning shifts.
