MBN Solutions are supporting an Applied AI start-up, based in San Francisco to find their next AI Engineering Lead.

The company builds the next generation of personal AI —private, user-owned, and designed to run directly on people's devices.

They require an AI technical leader (former CTO or senior tech lead of a consumer AI product) who shares our passion for privacy and user sovereignty

You'll lead application development across desktop, mobile, and future platforms , shaping how individuals interact with their own AI.

You'll thrive here if you have :

• ? Experience deploying AI in real-world consumer products
• ? Strong grasp of modern language model architectures, quantization & on-device optimization
• ? Hands-on familiarity with the open-source AI stack (e.g. lightweight inference runtimes, device-level ML frameworks)
• ? Deep knowledge of native app ecosystems (especially Apple platforms)
• ? Background in system-level programming & performance tuning
• ? A product-minded, user-first approach
