job_description.job_card.job_descriptionFacilitate engaging, hands-on STEM and arts-based lessons for groups of 2050 K12 students Guide students through design challenges and project-based learning experiences Align sessions with STE(A)M Trucks educational mission and learning outcomes Assist with setup and breakdown of materials, tools, and equipment Help maintain positive energy, safety, and engagement throughout programming Collaborate with team members and volunteers to deliver high-quality experiences Build meaningful relationships with students to boost confidence and creativity Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners Respond to student needs and behavior with empathy and professionalism Keep program materials organized and ready for each session Help manage pacing, transitions, and activity flow during sessions Work closely with fellow educators and staff to meet program goals Share feedback on activities to help improve impact and student engagement Education : Degree in education, STEM, arts, or youth development. Experience : Experience leading STEM or hands-on enrichment activities preferred Skills : Strong communication and rapport-building with youth Comfort with tools, tech, or creative materials (training provided) Organized, flexible, and enthusiastic Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (materials and equipment). Available to work Monday through Fri 8 : 30 AM3 PM, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends Must have reliable transportation to travel to program sites as needed Be part of a passionate, mission-driven team of educators and innovators Inspire students who may not yet see themselves in STEM or creative careers Help build a more equitable future, one hands-on project at a time

STE(A)M Truck is an award-winning mobile makerspace that brings hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math experiences directly to schools and communities. Our mission is to close opportunity gaps and empower young learners by sparking curiosity and creativity through real-world learning.
Position Overview
Are you a teacher or educator who believes students learn best when they can build, explore, and experiment? Were looking for part-time Engagement Specialists to help lead dynamic, hands-on STE(A)M programs that inspire K-12 youth. If you're passionate about making learning realand funwed love to have you on the team.
Start Date : June 2025
