Host Home Provider / Family Caregiver

Job Type : Contract

Compensation : $1,750 – $8,000 per month (tax-free, based on level of support needs) Additional monthly room and board payment.

Job Description

DDRC is seeking compassionate caregivers across the Colorado Front Range to share their homes and provide support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Whether you are caring for your own family member or partnering with DDRC to welcome a carefully matched individual, you will help create a safe, inclusive home where people can grow, build independence, and stay connected to their community.

With over 60 years of experience, DDRC brings an advocacy-driven approach to partnering with providers, ensuring that people with IDD receive person-centered support that honors their goals and values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, care, and individualized support in a home and community setting.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support with medication administration and health-related needs.
  • Support with health and safety
  • Facilitate transportation to appointments, activities, and community events.
  • Encourage skill-building, independence, and personal growth (e.g., budgeting, healthy relationships, self-advocacy).
  • Offer support during challenging moments, including behavioral or crisis situations.
  • Complete required documentation and participate in team meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Meet all State and Federal training requirements.
  • Maintain required insurance as outlined in the contract.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to residential services.
