Project Manager
To lead complex, high-impact Organizational and Information Technology Projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. To drive project success by providing strategic direction, aligning deliverables with organizational goals, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders at all levels. To oversee all phases of the project lifecycle-planning, execution, monitoring, and closure-while managing project scope, resources, timelines, and financials. To lead cross-functional and, at times, geographically distributed teams. To proactively identifies and mitigates risks, resolves conflicts, and removes obstacles to ensure progress. To blend of strong leadership, technical acumen, analytical thinking, and exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads and plans Organizational and BTech projects and business initiatives requiring resource allocation, including defining the project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing deliverables and budget based on meeting predetermined project objectives. Documents written project plan with defined timelines and goals.
- Monitors and reports on project progress, keeping all stakeholders-including team members and management-informed of key developments and emerging issues. Regularly reviews actual performance against the project plan and collaborates with management to make adjustments aligned with project objectives.
- Leads the development of project team members by setting clear expectations, providing guidance and feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment. Holds team members accountable for their deliverables and timelines to ensure alignment with project goals and overall success.
- Supports portfolio management by identifying resource capacity and prioritization criteria. Assists in balancing workloads across active initiatives to optimize resource utilization and ensure successful delivery of high-impact projects
- Collaborates with the VP of Strategic Initiatives and Information Technology Leadership on project resources and strategies according to the project plan to achieve the required project objectives. Helps to arbitrate and resolve conflict and issues within the project.
- Works with management to identify recommendations and coordinates management and technical decisions required to achieve the project goals.
- Completes administrative and "mechanical" tasks in a project.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Position Qualifications
Five to eight years of project management experienceBachelor's degree in Project Management, Business or a related fieldPMP or PMI-ACP certification recommended or to be attained within 2 years of holding positionAbility to work well independently and with little to no supervisionExcellent communication skills (with both internal and external personnel)Significant level of trust and diplomacyDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsStandard position hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
