The Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Specialist works as a part of a cross-trained cell team focused on producing the best possible product and maximizing product availability by driving down manufacturing lead times.  This cell will cut, crimp, and kit all hydraulic hoses for assembly as well as support service and engineering needs. The successful candidate will be someone that enjoys working in a high pace environment, doing a variety of tasks, and working as part of a team.  This individual will be a good communicator with a desire to continuously improve processes to take care of customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the cell team, the production team, and HQLV steering team to manage the flow of work through the cell, continuously improve, and drive down lead times
  • Safely execute manufacturing operations within the cell (saw, clean, label, crimp, loom, kit, material handling, and inspection)
  • Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment in the cell
  • Read and interpret prints and work instructions
  • Review and release work orders as needed
  • Manage inventory through cycle counts and communicate replenishment needs
  • Train and receive training from teammates on cell processes
  • Quickly respond to assembly, service, and engineering product needs

  • Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to read and understand schematics
  • Proficient with hand tools
  • Farm work experience and / or heavy equipment use is helpful but not required
  • Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn more
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
