Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking an experienced, talented and creative Lead Level Designer to join our team working on Project Sirius, a multiplayer game set within the world of The Witcher. You’ll lead a team of level designers, overseeing the ideation, design and creation of all map level content. The ideal candidate has demonstrated ability in crafting unique gameplay spaces and combat encounters, is organized and self-motivated, and has a passion for supporting and guiding a team through development.

Responsibilities :

• Recruit, manage and mentor the Level Design team, sharing and guiding the team in best practices and principles, and ensuring alignment with goals and quality standards.
• Establish standards by working directly in-engine creating blockouts and encounters to prove out gameplay while building the Level Design team.
• Cooperate closely with the Lead Level Artist and Lead Environment Artist, ensuring overall cohesion and vision is being maintained.
• Coordinate with the Lead Quest Designer on quest-relevant level needs and spaces.
• Oversee process and workflow pipelines for Level Design across relevant disciplines and departments.
• Set and share best practices for design, documentation, tooling and metrics.
• Cooperate with fellow Leads across our cross-functional development teams, ensuring alignment with our Level Design vision and goals.
• Responsible for delivering fun, unique, and accessible gameplay spaces that achieve both gameplay and visual excellence.
• Ensure functional and visual consistency across both hand-crafted and procedurally generated environments.
