Job Description
Safety & Standards Waterfront Manager oversees the daily operation of the Aramark Shipyard Waterfront. This position is vital in proactively retaining favorable client standings and effectively managing Food Truck Vendor Partners & Canteen operations. This role will function as a key point of contact for addressing operational needs as they relate to occupational safety, food safety & sanitation, environmental compliance, employee training, and support execution of all Aramark safety processes & procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Safety & Standards
- Plan, organize, and coordinate training programs, facilitate training, and promote safe practices and working conditions in a variety of environments and situations for all employees at the assigned business unit(s).
- Conduct regular safety / quality audits and provide feedback to the team to ensure quality services are being delivered.
- Lead and participate in incident / event investigations & communicate findings and ensure closure of action items.
- Evaluate current processes, conduct gap analyses, and make recommendations.
- Conduct improvement activities to address gaps and increase compliance with contractual requirements
- Work closely with Aramark Safety & Risk Solutions team, Workplace Experience Group Leadership Team, Managers, District Safety Managers and Clients to review, implement and enforce Aramark's SAFE Commitment.
- Assist supported location teams to effectively execute against safety and standard requirements and coordinate and Support Region / District Meeting / Committee structure.
Vendor Partnerships
Communicates all concerns & Vendor Partner special occurrences daily with General ManagerProactively addresses Vendor Partner related issues to eliminate client involvement & inconveniencesMonitors Vendor Partners & Aramark MicroMarkets daily during meal periodsAssigns Vendor Partners monthly, communicates assignments with Vendor Partners & ClientManages Vendor Partner badging processesKeeps a log of Vendor Partners and MicroMarkets visited / observed per day with details such as customer counts, safety concerns, and special occurrences. Sends log to GM weekly.Submits and follows through with all MicroMarket & Vendor Partner service & project requestsVerifies all Vendor Partners adhere to service model, menu development expectations, safety protocols and proceduresWorks with Client & Vendor Partners on site project planningAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications
2-4 years professional experience in safety required. Experience in management systems or certified safety professional designation preferred.Requires at least 2+ years of experience in a management role.A strong understanding of safety best practices (i.e., HAACP) OSHA 10 general industry and ServSafe food safety training.Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model.Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to a unified food service experience for all customers.Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.Aramark is an equal opportunity employer.
