Job Opportunity : OB / GYN Hospitalist (Locum to Perm)

Join a dynamic team at a leading medical center in Des Moines, Iowa, where we prioritize quality care and community well-being. We are currently seeking a dedicated OB / GYN Hospitalist to start on January 1, 2026. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide inpatient care in our well-equipped facility, serving a high patient volume and working alongside a supportive staff.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide care for OBED patients.
  • Manage emergent patients, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
  • Assist patients without a primary OBGYN.
  • Contribute to the only maternity transport team in Iowa.

Qualifications :

  • Board Certified - REQUIRED (truly board eligible candidates may be considered).
  • Experience in OB / GYN specialty.
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Team player with a patient-centered approach.

    • License and Certification Requirements :

  • Active Iowa Medical License or Active IMLC - REQUIRED.
  • Clean malpractice / background check - REQUIRED.
