P osition : Legal Assistant

Location : Indianapolis, IN

Plunkett Cooney is seeking a detail-orientated legal assistant to join our Indianapolis office. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all stages of litigation, ensuring the efficient handling of administrative and case management in a fast-paced legal environment.

To be considered, a candidate must :

• Have at least 2-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Be proficient in legal document preparation, file management, typing / word processing, telephone coverage, scheduling, and other administrative duties.
• Have experience in preparing pleadings and simple motions.
• Be familiar with state and federal electronic court filing (e-filing).
• Experience with a document management system, iManage preferably.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Be responsible for calendaring all case deadlines, including Calendaring Case Management Orders, depositions, and court appearances.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Be proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
