Client is a commercial builder / developer located in New Haven, CT. They specialize in ground-up and remodel construction projects - mostly public, dorms, housing and commercial. All of the Building and Construction projects are in and around the Fairfield and New Haven County.

Job Description

Construction Superintendent :

• Key Responsibilities :
• Project Management : Lead and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor on-site construction staff, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Quality Control : Monitor work progress and quality, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Safety Management : Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and training to promote a culture of safety on the job site.
• Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
• Problem Solving : Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, including scheduling conflicts, resource allocation, and unforeseen challenges.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports. General knowledge of Building and Construction codes.
