Job Overview
The Assistant Teaching Professor / Educator of Audio Production-Music Production is a full-time non-tenure track faculty position that will teach, advise, mentor and recruit undergraduate digital arts students in Audio Production with a specialization in music production. The academic appointment for this position will be effective August 2, 2026.
Audio Superhero : get ready for your biggest mic drop! You’ll guide students through production, from live performance to studio recording to scoring, integrating music production into digital media. You’ll mentor, recruit, and connect students to the real world, while helping develop the program and curriculum. The School of Digital Arts at Wichita State University invites a leader who will contribute to applied learning and grow the next generation of music producers.
About the School of Digital Arts (SODA) and About CFA : SODA offers a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Arts with concentrations including Audio Production, and is a fast-growing part of Wichita State University. The CFA includes four schools and emphasizes arts leadership and industry engagement.
Job Summary
Teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels using various instructional deliveries (e.g., traditional, hybrid, and online). Foster applied learning in course design and engage with industry projects. Advance knowledge through scholarly activities, mentorship, recruitment, retention, and outreach.

Meet expectations for teaching and service, as set forth by the department and college.
Job Duties
Teach courses in Songwriting, Music Production, Music Technology, and Musicianship for the Contemporary Artist. The Filmmaking, Acting for Digital Arts, and Game Design concentrations will benefit from a sound design faculty member who can work across these areas.
