Manager, Board Engagement
Works closely with the Vice President, Development Office & Associate Vice President, Development Office to support the strategic engagement of the Tri-C Foundation Board of Directors. Develops and implements Tri-C Foundation Board meetings, events and initiatives. Responsible for all Board communication, follow-up, and special requests from Board members.
Essential Functions
- Serves as primary administrative liaison to the Tri-C Foundation Board of Directors
- Develops and organizes all aspects of Board-related meetings, including scheduling, agendas, materials, presentations, and logistics for approximately 25 Board and committee meetings annually
- Responsible for all Board-related communications, including pre-meeting communications, updates, scheduling inquiries, and meeting minutes
- Manages and keeps updated Tri-C Foundation Board roster and profiles up to date
- Assists Associate Vice President and Vice President of Development Office with special initiatives and helps ensure strong project management and execution of Board-related projects
- Develops and coordinates a Foundation Board engagement plan to ensure each member has a tailored and meaningful Board experience
- Works with the Board's Committee of Directors to create Board engagement and education events throughout the year that connects them to the Tri-C mission, including new board member orientation, board retreat, campus visits and student connections
- Ensures Board procedures align with bylaws and best practices
- Tracks board member terms, committee service, and engagement metrics for the Board
- Updates and enhances governance documents as needed
- Maintains accurate Board-related records
- Provides event and project support for Foundation activities as needed
- Coordinates with College departments and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and execution involving Board members
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience / Training
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldSignificant related experience may substitute for educationMinimum of five (5) years of demonstrated full-time administrative experience in a fast-paced organizationDemonstrated experience working with and supporting executive leadersDemonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or teamDemonstrated experience working with or serving on nonprofit or corporate boardsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksiteTarget Starting Salary Range : $65,000 to $75,000. The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and / or preferred job requirement(s).
