Partnership Program Manager - Central Office (Open)
If you enjoy program development, relationship building, and can juggle multiple projects, this may be the job for you. The ideal candidate will have impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, and possess strong critical thinking skills. Under limited supervision, this position reports to the Assistant Deputy Director of Programs in the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Programs Division. The ideal candidate for this position will be familiar with the programming needs of the incarcerated population as they will manage multiple aspects of program development and delivery. Duties :
- Manage and coordinate community partner led programs; identify best practices, establish program protocols and operational priorities; ensure program objectives and standards are established and obtained; develop and recommend new policy and procedures for NDCS to respond to changes in program and operational needs, objectives and priorities of NDCS; plan, organize and track the programs within all NDCS facilities; regularly assess the programming needs of the incarcerated population and identify solutions to fill identified gaps; collaborate seamlessly with other departmental program managers (Vocational and Life Skills, Reentry, Non-clinical Programming, Education and Career Readiness, etc.) to uphold a systems approach to programming; plan and host regular meetings with program contacts; assist with the organization RFPs and contract management.
Requirements / Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, behavioral science, human services, or related field, plus two years' corrections experience; OR Associates degree in criminal justice, behavioral science, human services, or related field plus four years' experience; OR six years corrections experience.Preferred Qualifications : Experience and understanding of evidence-based practices. Experience writing policies, procedures, protocols. Experience in program / project coordination, data collection and reporting. Experience researching correctional best practices; program evaluation; training others. Experience working and communicating with community partners or contractors; managing contracts and contractor payment; completing compliance checks. Experience working directly with inmates, parolees, or probationers.Other : Transcripts required prior to appointment. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order : medical exam and, at a randomly announced time, a drug test. Once employed, all incumbents must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services pre-service training program.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
The candidate should possess excellent multi-tasking and management skills. Be a great communicator written or verbally. Be proficient in computer programs within the Microsoft suite and adaptable to other computer programs. Be a strategic thinker and have great organizational skills.
