Texas Health Hospital Mansfield- operates as a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth.

Unit : Wound Care

Schedule : Part-time (minimum of 20 hours per week)

Shift : Days (7 : 00am 7 : 00pm)

Provide wholistic care for patients that extends to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families. Chaplains are available to meet with patients, families and team members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide spiritual support.

Help develop a brand new $150 million community hospital and medical office building that will provide services such as Emergency Services, Medical / Surgical, ICU, Womens Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology and Gastroenterology.

The role you'll contribute :

The Registered Nurse Wound Care is accountable for providing direct patient care and is accountable for coordinating the efforts of the multidisciplinary treatment team for the patients under his / her care. S / he is accountable for administering, supervising and coordinating the nursing process in the provision of care; and will strive to maintain and improve patient outcomes. He / she is responsible for actions reflecting the vision and values of AdventHealth. He / she is accountable for working within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, established policies, protocols and procedures; and utilizes other pertinent references as guidelines for clinical practice.

Provides appropriate care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with difficult or chronic wounds, including detailed wound assessments and documentation.

\n \n\n \n

Demonstrates proper technique for specialty dressings and procedures.

\n \n\n \n

Maintains strict infection control standards within own practice and guide non-RN associates.

\n \n\n \n

Plans, implements, and documents education for patients with difficult or chronic wounds, utilizing team members and departmental tools.

\n \n\n \n

Communicates efficiently with partners outside the department, such as home health nurses, insurance case managers, and referring physicians.

\n \n\n \n

Manages assigned clinics proactively to provide efficient care, minimize wait times, and ensure physician and patient satisfaction.

\n \n\n \n

Actively participates in departmental quality improvement activities, including patient-centered quality management measures and departmental initiatives.

\n \n\n \n

Leads a care team as a clinic case manager, providing clear instructions to team members and delegating tasks appropriately.

\n \n\n \n

Accepts accountability for staff time management in the assigned clinic, allowing staff to leave at the direction of the case manager.

\n \n\n \n

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

\n \n\n \n

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

\n \n\n \n

Associates Degree in Nursing

\n \n\n \n

Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas, or in a qualifying compact state.

\n \n\n \n

BLS Certification

\n \n\n \n1 Work Experience Required\n \n\n \n
