American Express Company seeks Managers, Data Analytics to work across key stakeholder groups to gather and prioritize requirements for both data and reporting / analytics needs. Assist with end-to-end data project monitoring, from requirements gathering, user story creation, design and planning to extensive user testing. Conduct post-implementation validation, as well as develop end-to-end project plans. Provide input to leadership on overall prioritization, scope, and planning of data features and initiatives. Coordinate communication, documentation, and support to end customers on features, releases, and issues. Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, and governance practices. Work with leaders on evolving the future state of data architecture and business capabilities maps. Position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with data and analytics assets supporting digital capabilities. Experience must include 1 year of experience with analysis of large datasets; 1 year of experience with Big Data tools and platforms, including Hadoop, Pig, and Hive; 1 year of experience with Agile project management, Rally, and Jira; 1 year of experience with process control management and data modeling using Microsoft Visio; 1 year of experience with translating complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences; 1 year of experience with working with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams to ensure data projects align with business strategies; and 1 year of experience with Angular, Bootstrap, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, MS Excel for data reporting and modeling, MVC, .Net, and VB script. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
