Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline or related field or military operations and maintenance experience with radar, communications, electro-optics, networks and information technology -based sensors / systems. Expert knowledge on MS Office Products. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with structured authoring applications, such as : MadCap, FrameMaker, or Arbortext. Proven ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail. Possess and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance. Self-starter and engaged team member Preferred Qualifications : Minimum of 5 years’ technical writing experience. Knowledge of standard content management strategies. Knowledge of Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE 100). Knowledge of standards – XML, SGML, HTML, S1000 and DITA – for structured Content. Possess and maintain DoD Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS / SCI)

The successful candidates will join our high performing team in developing technical documentation for advanced military systems.
These include radars for F-22, F-35, Joint Strike Fighter, F-16, B-1B, MESA, G / ATOR and VADER and other UAV systems.
Responsibilities : Writes, rewrites and / or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical information and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
- Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.
- Conducts quality review of materials.
- Publish materials in various formats, including page-based, electronic (basic and interactive), structured (HTML, XML, and SGML).
- Collaborate with task leads, writers, engineers, and instructors, to develop and deliver sensor / system technical manuals to varying levels of detail and delivery formats.
- Perform Desktop Publishing tasks for program / project reports, whitepapers, articles, and other documents.
- Research and compile information from program documents, engineering sources, et al.
to develop manual outlines and adhere to military / civilian specifications and standards of technical writing.
Job Qualifications : Successful candidates will have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, be proactive, possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and be self-motivated.
