Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1760 - $1890\n

\n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Job Details\n \n

Location : Maryville, IL 62062 (Greater St. Louis area)\n

Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical Telemetry Unit\n

Contract Length : 13 weeks\n

Start Date : November 10, 2025\n

End Date : February 9, 2026\n

Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)\n

Hours per Week : 36\n

Patient Population : Adults & Geriatrics\n

Unit Details : 48-bed Med / Surg Telemetry unit with telemetry monitoring for up to 10 patients\n

Scrubs : Navy Blue\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)\n

Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)\n

BLS certification (required)\n

ACLS certification (preferred)\n

Experience with Meditech charting system (preferred)\n

Previous charge nurse experience (preferred)\n

Ability to float to other Medical / Surgical units as needed\n

At least one supervisor reference required\n

\n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n \n

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with chronic and acute conditions (post-surgical, CVA, diabetes, renal disease, COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis)\n

Monitor and interpret telemetry for patients with stable dysrhythmias\n

Administer medications and manage IVs, including insulin protocols and blood product administration\n

Perform wound care, colostomy care, feeding tube management, and pre / post hemodialysis management\n

Utilize safe patient handling equipment and bladder scanner as needed\n

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, respiratory, rapid response)\n

Participate in rapid response / code teams and adhere to isolation precautions\n

Float to other Med / Surg units as required\n

Work every 2nd to 3rd weekend as part of the rotation\n
