Job Title : OR / Surgery Manager

Location : El Dorado Springs, Missouri

Shift : Full-time, leadership role with flexibility as needed

Weekend Requirements : May be required based on the surgical schedule

On-Call : Yes, as needed for surgical services leadership

Job Overview :

The OR / Surgery Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective delivery of perioperative care across multiple units, including the outpatient surgery unit, preoperative unit, operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, sterile processing department, and anesthesia services. This position ensures clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering a patient-centered and team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the operational and fiscal management of perioperative services
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards
  • Support and hold perioperative staff accountable for patient safety and quality outcomes
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning, quality improvement, and performance evaluation
  • Recruit, interview, and evaluate perioperative personnel
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and leadership
  • Collect and analyze data for quality and performance improvement projects
  • Lead and manage change within perioperative services
  • Serve as a patient advocate while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Promote professional growth and provide constructive feedback to staff

Required Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current unencumbered RN license in the State of Missouri
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • Minimum of three years of progressive perioperative experience or perioperative nursing management experience with increasing administrative responsibility
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • CNOR certification
