Responsibilities Work in a 14-bed ICU within a hospital setting Serve a mixed patient population including post-surgical and high-acuity medical cases such as ARDS, COPD, GI bleeds, overdoses, and COVID Care for patients requiring ventilators, pressors, a-lines, chest tubes, alcohol withdrawal management, and advanced monitoring Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 ICU staff serves as code and rapid response teams Intensivists present during the day and NPs on night shifts 12-hour night shifts, three nights per week (18 : 45–7 : 15) Preference for candidates with Cerner EMR experience Will provide care for both medical and occasional post-surgical (carotids, VATS, CEAs) ICU patients Return staff must observe a 1-year waiting period before being eligible for rehire as a traveler Holiday and weekend requirements may apply Cerner experience is preferred but not mandatory First-time travelers will be considered Requirements Active MA RN license in hand required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience Experience with telemetry required Able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and perform pulmonary artery / Swan Ganz monitoring Experience in continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621758.
