Your Role as a Home Health Occupational Therapist :
Deliver occupational therapy to patients struggling with daily tasks due to illness or injury.Collaborate with a dedicated home health team, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, PTs, and SLPs, to focus on patient care and personal goals.Assess patients, identify deficits, set therapy goals, and document progress.Guide patients through exercises to enhance fine motor skills and coordination.Recommend adaptive equipment, such as grab bars and shower chairs, to provide additional support.Evaluate fall risks and implement strategies to improve home safety.Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, goals, and self-care techniques.What We’re Looking For :
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and an active OT license in Michigan.A minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience, preferably in home healthcare.Current CPR certification.Familiarity with state and federal home health regulations.Strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a compassionate approach.Why Choose Interim HealthCare?
