Engineering Manager
We're looking for a skilled Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Establish the overall objectives and initiatives of the Engineering Department to support the design and manufacturing of Munters' air treatment equipment.
- Provide engineering expertise and support to other departments.
- Ensure all engineering projects and processes comply with Munters' policies and objectives.
- Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production processes methods and controls.
- Develop ideas for product enhancements and direct design activities.
- Interpret requirements and produce a design output package for manufacturing.
- Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
- Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers.
- Participate in the development, validation, and implementation of new product designs.
- Understand customer design requirements through technical specifications and analysis.
- Prepare engineering analysis and release documentation for components and assemblies.
- Communicate interdepartmentally to resolve issues and implement process corrections.
- Develop and evaluate processes to measure and improve productivity.
- Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment.
- Execute project plans to meet product specifications and timelines.
- Research components, equipment, systems, and processes to improve or generate new products.
- Research and interface with suppliers on new or improved product component selections.
- Provide technical support for new and existing equipment.
- Create item masters and bills of material required by manufacturing.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance on production machines and equipment.
- Provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of design engineering experience with air treatment equipment in the HVAC industry, including 3 years of experience in product design using software 3D modeling and 2D Drafting tools (SolidWorks and AutoCAD); jigs and tool design for production support; product structure, bills of material, and product engineering; and new product introduction and project implementation.
