Project Kuiper Export Compliance Manager

Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control Requirement : Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Drive the strategic development and implementation of Project Kuiper's comprehensive export compliance program, encompassing U.S. (EAR / ITAR) and global trade regulations.
• Design and implement scalable compliance mechanisms for tangible / intangible exports, deemed exports, licensing, and classifications across U.S. and global jurisdictions.
• Provide expert guidance on EAR and ITAR requirements specifically within cloud and AI computing environments.
• Review international transactions, make export license determinations, and manage the licensing process while advising on trade compliance best practices.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, legal, tax, HR, and IT teams to develop compliance solutions that support rapid innovation.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to simplify and strengthen the export compliance program while balancing business objectives with regulatory requirements.
