Laboratory Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Lewisville, TX. This is a 2 + month with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title : Lab Assistant

Location : Lewisville, TX 75067

Pay Rate : $20-$23 on W2.

Shift : Mon - Fri 10 PM-6 : 30 AM

Duration : 2 + Months

• Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities / Requirements :

Sorts and receives specimens.

Performs routine maintenance on lab equipment.

Handles lab tasks : centrifuging, labeling, data recording, specimen storage, and retrieval.

Prepares reagents, media, and specimens for testing (aliquoting, clot / fibrin checks, slide prep).

Conducts QA / QC duties and resolves pending lists.

Locates missing samples and decontaminates work areas.

Performs weekly radioactive wipe tests.

Maintains departmental records and manages gas cylinder changes.

Follows PPE and safety protocols.

Operates lab computer systems and disposes of biohazard materials.

Completes required training and competency checklists.

Special Requirements :

Must have the ability to establish work priorities and to handle several tasks for maximum workstation efficiency.

Must be able to retain information once learned.

Must interact with other coworkers, internal and external customers with courtesy and respect.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 6 months of experience as a Lab Assistant

Must have reliable transportation.
