JOB TITLE : Registered Nurse - OR\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : \n\nJoin our dedicated team in delivering high-quality patient care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of surgical care. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, and evaluate patient outcomes in a fast-paced operating room environment.\n\nSUPERVISION RECEIVED : Reports to the Supervisor of Clinical Services.\n\nEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.\n
- Current Registered Nurse License.\n
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.\n
- Operational Room experience is required.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : \n
- Strong understanding of nursing standards, including the Patient Bill of Rights, JCAHO regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.\n
- Ability to assess patients' physiological and psychosocial health statuses effectively.\n
- Capable of accurately assessing pain in line with established policies.\n
- Proficient in documenting patient histories and other pertinent information clearly.\n
- Effective communication skills to ensure continuity of care through verbal reports.\n
- Skilled in establishing patient goals and implementing individualized nursing care plans.\n
- Adept at evaluating and adjusting care plans based on patient data.\n
- Demonstrates emergency response capabilities and practices within legal and ethical guidelines.\n
- Proficient in surgical protocols, including aseptic techniques and the surgical case counting process.\n
- Anticipates and meets the needs of surgeons and patients during procedures.\n
