Registered Nurse (RN) - Patient Care Specialist

• Standards of Practice : Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.\n
• Care Coordination : Ensure seamless transitions in care and promote a safe environment through effective health teaching and health promotion strategies.\n
• Professional Performance : Engage in professional activities including ethics, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practices to enhance the quality of nursing.\n
• Personal Accountability : Take responsibility for your actions, continually seeking knowledge and competence necessary for current nursing practice.\n\nQualifications : \n
• Education : Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.\n
• Experience : Previous RN experience is a foundation for this role; all RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.\n
• Licensure : Must be a licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut; clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.\n
• Physical Demands : This position involves prolonged standing, walking, and lifting; candidates must be able to assist with varying patient weights and be prepared to handle the stress associated with patient care.\n\nThis position is covered by the Connecticut Healthcare Associates Collective Bargaining Agreement.
