ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE :
Responsible for obtaining pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for
procedures and medications helping to coordinate patient appointments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Verification for toxin, testing, and cognitive appointments.
Obtain authorizations for all appointments.
Process new order for toxins.
Answer billing office calls.
Maintain and complete prepayment worklist in EMR system.
Maintain and complete eligibility worklist daily task.
Maintain and complete workers compensation caseload.
Cleanout billing folder in EMR system including faxes and voicemails.
Other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient
contact skills and excellent telephone manners.
Minimum of two years of experience with scheduling and insurance billing for medical services
with general knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes.
General knowledge of office procedures, equipment, and comprehensive computer skills.
Work under minimal supervision and effectively in a team environment.
EMR experience a plus.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT REQUIRED :
At least one (1) year of related experience in a Neurological setting
Prior Authorization Certification a plus
Strong computer and typing skills
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
