Major Food Group is hiring Line Cooks to join our team at Contessa!
Contessa, inspired by the old-world resorts and the lasting estates of Italy, features cuisine embodying the effortless elegance of the Trattorias of Northern Italy. Offering all-day dining with breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner and perfectly crafted cocktails, the menus showcase a range of selections from imported salumi and house made fresh pasta to dry aged Chianina Beef.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not requiredCulinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferredTeam-orientated and positive attitudeStrong communication skills a mustBENEFITS :
