Job Summary :

  • We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Knowledge Base Developer to design and build a modern, searchable SharePoint Online knowledge base.
  • The goal is to centralize and organize a variety of content types including legal agreements, contracts, engineering / building diagrams, and project documentation.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SharePoint site customization, metadata design, Microsoft 365 integration, and an understanding of AI-powered tools like Microsoft Copilot.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement a SharePoint Online knowledge base structure using best practices in document management and taxonomy.
  • Organize large volumes of structured and unstructured content including legal, contractual, and technical documentation.
  • Create a user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation and search capabilities.
  • Enable and optimize Microsoft 365 Copilot features for advanced document search and contextual insights.
  • Set up permissions, version control, and document lifecycle policies in accordance with organizational needs.
  • Develop or assist with "Lessons Learned" content areas to capture institutional knowledge.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content is properly categorized and maintained. (Optional) Work with or oversee a technical writer to assist with content formatting and documentation consistency.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Proven experience developing custom SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Expertise in SharePoint content types, metadata, taxonomy, and search configuration.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools and services, especially Copilot integration.
  • Strong understanding of document management best practices and security.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into scalable site architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. (Preferred) Familiarity with legal, engineering, or enterprise document types.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Power Automate / PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with governance and compliance policies in Microsoft 365.
  • UX / UI design principles for SharePoint site presentation.
  • Basic understanding of technical writing or willingness to collaborate with tech writers.
