Key Responsibilities
Design and Development : Create innovative and efficient mechanical designs for components, subsystems, and full systems using CAD software and other tools.
System Integration : Work with interdisciplinary teams (electrical, structural, and systems engineers) to integrate mechanical systems into larger defense and aerospace platforms.
Performance Analysis : Conduct stress, thermal, fluid dynamics, and vibration analyses to evaluate system performance.
Testing and Validation : Plan and execute tests to verify functionality, reliability, and durability of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
Compliance and Documentation : Ensure designs meet regulations, standards, and specifications. Prepare technical documents such as design specs, test plans, and reports.
Manufacturing Support : Assist manufacturing teams during production, resolve design-related issues, review processes, and optimize designs for cost-effective production.
Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience : Previous experience in mechanical design and development, ideally within defense or aerospace. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards is highly desirable.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools. Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Analytical Abilities : Skilled in conducting detailed analyses, simulations, and evaluations of mechanical systems.
Problem-Solving Skills : Strong ability to identify and resolve complex engineering challenges with practical, efficient solutions.
