The Procurement Analyst Transportation plays a critical role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and optimizing logistics spend across all modes of transportation, including truckload, LTL, intermodal, ocean, and air. This position is responsible for deep-dive analytics on freight expenditures, assessing carrier performance metrics, and contributing to contract negotiation strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective, and reliable movement of goods throughout the supply chain.

What You'll Do :

• Strategic Transportation Analysis : Analyze freight spend data to uncover trends, identify cost drivers, and generate actionable savings insights. Research market trends, fuel pricing, and regulations to inform cost-optimized sourcing strategies.
• Sourcing & Contract Management : Support transportation RFPs and bid events through data prep, evaluation, and award modeling. Assist in drafting contracts and tracking compliance to mitigate risk and ensure alignment with terms.
• Carrier & Rate Oversight : Monitor performance metrics like on-time delivery and claims, recommending corrective actions. Maintain rate databases and ensure accurate application of tariffs and accessorial charges.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure procurement strategies align with broader business objectives and operational requirements.
• Reporting & Decision Support : Develop dashboards and analytical reports to support data-driven decision-making and communicate insights to leadership.
