Job Description
Elliman Capital Loan Officers provide a high-touch, concierge-level mortgage experience supported by a modern digital platform. In this role, the Mortgage Loan Originator will guide clients from initial inquiry through closing, presenting tailored financing solutions and maintaining trusted relationships with real estate partners. This position is ideal for proactive relationship builders who communicate clearly, move with urgency, and uphold exceptional file quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to leads from pre-qualification forms, online applications, and referral partners
Evaluate borrower goals and present customized financing options across conventional, jumbo, and specialty programs
Structure loan scenarios and lock pricing in accordance with underwriting guidelines and client objectives
Collect and review documentation to expedite approvals, setting clear expectations on timelines and conditions
Manage a full pipeline from application through funding with proactive communication at every stage
Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and closers to resolve conditions efficiently
Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, developers, and past clients to generate ongoing referral business
Maintain clean files, accurate disclosures, and detailed notes in the LOS and CRM systems
Ensure strict adherence to all state, federal, and NMLS regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Active NMLS license in Florida (or ability to obtain promptly); clean regulatory record
Minimum two years of front-end origination experience; luxury and investor market experience preferred
Proficiency with conventional (FNMA / FHLMC) and jumbo products; familiarity with FHA, VA, and Non-QM lending
Strong consultative approach : discovery, scenario design, and clear communication
Excellent organization and time management; able to manage a high-volume, detail-intensive pipeline
Tech-savvy and comfortable operating in a digital-first environment
Preferred Experience
Working knowledge of nCino, Optimal Blue, and Encompass
Established referral network or book of business
Multilingual capabilities
Experience in high-balance, second home, and investor financing
