About Your Role :
- This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include leading instructional efforts by developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with state standards and the school's curriculum for Kindergarten.
- The educator will deliver engaging lessons tailored to diverse learners, collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods, and set clear learning objectives.
- The role also includes fostering positive relationships with parents and the community, communicating student progress, representing the school at district events, and completing administrative tasks like grading.
Compensation :
$58,003 to $78,122 ( Bromley East recognizes up to 11 years of relevant experience.) Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities : Instructional Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum framework.Fully commit to the implementation of the Leader in Me Program and 7 Habits .Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners.Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and administration to enhance instructional materials and teaching methodologies.Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities to ensure educational goals are met.Monitor and assess student performance through observation and formal assessments, providing constructive feedback to encourage academic growth toward grade level standards and beyond.Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.This may include overnight field trips.Student Management Address student concerns related to health, conduct, and academic progress.Facilitate conflict resolution among students and monitor their social and emotional well-being.Maintain a safe, organized, and dynamic classroom environment that is conducive to learning and fosters a love for education.Administrative & Community Relations Foster and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, community groups, and other stakeholders.Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and school programs, ensuring transparency and collaboration.Represent the school at school and district meetings and events as required, serving as a liaison between the school and the broader community.Complete necessary administrative duties, including grading and preparing progress reports, to ensure accurate and timely documentation.Utilize technology to enhance instructional delivery and engage students in the learning process.Manage classroom resources by selecting, storing, ordering, and inventorying equipment and supplies, including proper student usage.Education & Licensure Desired :
Bachelor's degree required.A valid Colorado state teaching license in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or equivalent required.Master’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred. Alternative licensure candidates will be considered.Type of Experience Needed to be Successful :
1 + years as a licensed teacher preferred. Specialized Skills Desired : Advanced understanding of educational theories, teaching strategies, and instructional methods tailored for elementary students.Advanced knowledge in child psychology and the developmental stages—physical, social, and cognitive—of children aged 5 to 12.Intermediate proficiency in utilizing educational technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences.Intermediate knowledge of state and national curriculum standards, with the ability to align classroom activities to these benchmarks effectively.Advanced ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, guardians, colleagues, and administrators, both orally and in writing.Intermediate skill in creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.Advanced skill in designing and implementing engaging, differentiated lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.Advanced ability to assess student learning, providing constructive feedback, and adjusting instruction based on performance data.Advanced capability of developing and employing creative teaching approaches that stimulate student interest and participation.Intermediate ability to modify teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students.Intermediate ability in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems that arise in the classroom or school environment.Advanced ability to understand the needs and challenges of individual students, including those from diverse backgrounds.Intermediate ability to collaborate and work with other teachers, support staff, and school administrators to foster a cooperative working environment.Applications will be accepted until :
